Bernal Rodríguez Herrera has been a professor at the School of Biology of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) since 2007, where he teaches courses related to the ecology and conservation of mammals. He was recently appointed the first Director of the Center for Research on Biodiversity and Tropical Ecology (CIBET-UCR). His work has supported the development of research, especially in the Central American region.
